UP Kushinagar Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 for 245 Worker Posts

The District Programme Officer, Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), under the Directorate of Child Development Services and Nutrition, has released Notice No. C-1627 dated 29 July 2026 inviting online applications for 245 Anganwadi Karyakatri (Worker) posts across 15 Child Development Project blocks in Kushinagar district. Only women candidates with at least an Intermediate (12th) pass qualification can apply.

The last date to apply online is 19 August 2026 (till midnight). Applications are accepted only through the official portal upanganwadibharti.in. The selection is purely merit-based on educational qualification with no written exam or interview. Candidates must be residents of the same Gram Sabha/Ward where the vacancy exists.

A total of 245 Anganwadi Worker posts are available across 15 Child Development Project blocks in Kushinagar district. Each Anganwadi centre is run by one Karyakatri (Worker), supported by a Sahayika (Helper), and delivers supplementary nutrition, growth monitoring, immunisation referrals and pre-school activities.

Note: The Gram Panchayat/Ward-wise vacancy details, along with reservation status, have been displayed at the Child Development Project office, Block Development Officer office, Primary Health Centre, Tehsil office, District Programme office and District Magistrate office notice boards. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as updated on the portal.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: Intermediate (12th) pass or equivalent from a recognised board
• Merit Preparation: Merit is prepared on a scale that goes up to Postgraduate — higher qualification improves merit ranking
• Higher Qualification: Graduation, Post Graduation, B.Ed, ECCE certificate holders get additional merit points

Residency Requirement

• Rural Posts: Must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha as the vacant Anganwadi Karyakatri post
• Urban Posts: Must be a resident of the same Ward as the vacant Anganwadi Karyakatri post
• Residence certificate issued by competent authority is mandatory

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years as on 01 July 2026
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) as per UP government rules
• Date of birth as recorded in High School marksheet/certificate is final for age calculation

Family Rule

• If there is already an Anganwadi worker in the family from the same Gram Sabha/Ward, the candidate is not eligible
• Only one woman from a family can apply for Anganwadi Worker post

The selection for UP Kushinagar Anganwadi Worker posts is purely merit-based. There is no written examination or interview.

Merit Calculation

• Merit is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Intermediate/Graduation/Post Graduation)
• Higher qualification holders get additional points
• Bonus points for B.Ed, ECCE certificate, and other relevant qualifications
• SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates get reservation benefits as per UP government rules
