Applications must be submitted online only at the OPTCL website from 26 May 2026. Candidates must upload self-attested scanned copies of photograph, signature, DOB certificate, qualification certificates, GATE 2026 Score Card, and Odia pass certificate. The GATE 2026 Score Card must be a colour scanned copy.
OPTCL will not undertake detailed scrutiny for shortlisting — candidature is only provisional. If any claim is not substantiated during scrutiny, candidature will be cancelled. Candidates desirous of pursuing further studies on the basis of GATE 2026 score or needing extension of joining time need not apply.

The selection for OPTCL Management Trainee is based on GATE 2026 Score in EE paper followed by Personal Interview. OPTCL will shortlist candidates based on GATE 2026 score. During the 1-year training period, Management Trainees receive a stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month. After successful training, candidates are appointed as Assistant Manager (Electrical) at Pay Level EE-2: Rs. 56,100–1,77,500 with initial basic pay of Rs. 56,100. The approximate CTC is Rs. 15 lakh per annum. Selected candidates must execute a service bond of Rs. 3,00,000 for completing training and serving at least 3 years.
