CBT (100 Marks) → Descriptive Test (50 Marks, Qualifying) → Skill/Trade Test (Qualifying) → Final Merit on CBT
The selection involves three stages. Stage-I is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks with negative marking (1/3 or 1/4 per wrong answer). Stage-II is a Descriptive Test (qualifying) — Short Essay + Letter/Application (one in Hindi, one in English), 50 marks, minimum 25 to qualify. Stage-III is a Skill/Trade Test (qualifying) for select posts. Final merit is based ONLY on CBT marks for candidates who qualify Stages II and III.
