OPSC AEE Civil Recruitment 2026 for 46 Posts, Apply Online

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released Advertisement No. 07 of 2026-27 (Notice No. 4430/PSC, dated 4 August 2026) for recruitment to 46 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) in Group-A of the Odisha Municipal Engineering Service Cadre under the Housing and Urban Development Department. Out of 46 posts, 15 are reserved for women candidates.

Online applications can be submitted from 11 August 2026 to 11 September 2026 (5:00 PM). The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 8 November 2026 (Sunday). Candidates must have a degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a recognized university and be between 21 and 42 years of age as on 1 January 2026.

A total of 46 Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) posts are available in the Odisha Municipal Engineering Service Cadre. The category-wise distribution is as follows:

Note: 2 posts are also reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) as per government norms.

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must be a Graduate in Civil Engineering from any University or Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha
• OR must be an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Civil (AMIE Civil)
• The qualification must be possessed by the last date of application submission

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years
• Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005
• Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC/Women/PwBD) as per Odisha government rules

Other Requirements

• Must be an Indian citizen
• Must possess a valid Odisha domicile certificate (if applicable)
• Candidates must satisfy the conditions regarding conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage as per university norms

The selection for OPSC AEE Civil posts will be done through the following process:

Preliminary Examination Pattern

• Subject: Civil Engineering
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
• Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)

Note: The Preliminary and Main Examinations will primarily be held at Cuttack, and may also be held at Bhubaneswar, Baleshwar, Brahmapur, Sambalpur, or Jeypore depending on the number of candidates from each zone.
