NCL PMIS Intern Recruitment 2026 — 73 Intern Vacancies (Round 3)
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna PSU and subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, has invited online applications for 73 PMIS Intern vacancies under Round 3 of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) for FY 2026-27. The vacancies are across six trades — Foreman (Electrical), Foreman (Mechanical), Lab Technician, Clerk, Pharmacist, and Overseer. Applications are online through the PMIS portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in, closing on 06 September 2026.
This is a 9-month internship opportunity, not a regular government job. Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 credited directly to their Aadhaar-linked bank account. The internship does not lead to regular employment in NCL or Coal India Limited under any circumstances. Candidates aged 18 to 25 years (as on 01 April 2026) with the relevant diploma or degree from a recognized institute can apply.
Selection is purely merit-based, prepared by arranging aggregate percentage scores of the qualifying examination in descending order. Tie-breaking is based on age (older candidates preferred) and then alphabetical order. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for document verification through the PMIS portal. No TA/DA will be paid for attending document verification or joining. Interns must make their own arrangements for accommodation, food, and transport.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 25 years as on the crucial date of 01 April 2026.
- Qualification: Must have completed and passed the prescribed degree/diploma from a recognized institute as on 01 April 2026.
- Nationality: Indian citizens eligible.
Selection Process
Selection is purely merit-based. No written examination or interview is conducted. The merit list is prepared by arranging aggregate percentage scores of the qualifying examination in descending order, separately for each discipline.

Stipend and Internship Details
Stipend
Selected interns receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000, credited directly to the intern's Aadhaar-linked bank account. No deduction will be made for social security benefits. The stipend is the same across all six trades.
Duration and Conditions
- Duration: 9 months from the date of engagement
- Medical: Must submit Medical Fitness Certificate from Government Medical Officer before joining
- No Employment: Internship does not lead to regular employment in NCL or Coal India Limited
- Accommodation: Interns must make own arrangements for stay, food, and transport
- Leave: Governed as per applicable PMIS guidelines
