The Preliminary Written Exam is scheduled for 28 October 2026 (Wednesday) in two shifts — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Selection Process and Pay Scale

Selection is conducted in two stages — Preliminary Written Exam, then Main Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test, and Interview. The final merit list is based on Main Exam, PET, and Interview marks combined using Normalised Equi-Percentile scaling.

Pay Scale

All Subedar and Sub Inspector cadre posts carry Pay Level 9: ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800. During the 3-year probation period, stipend is payable at 70% of minimum pay in year 1, 80% in year 2, and 90% in year 3, plus other allowances as approved by the government.

Physical & Medical Standards

• Candidates must have no knock-knee or flat feet and must be certified medically fit by the District Medical Board.
• No relaxation is available in the minimum physical standards on health or any other grounds.
