JKSSB Divisional Cadre Recruitment 2026, 72 Posts – Apply Online
The JKSSB has released a brand new recruitment drive for the year 2026. If you are a Kashmiri migrant or a Kashmiri Pandit living in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, this announcement is for you. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has published a notification for filling up 72 posts across various departments under the Prime Minister's Special Package.
This particular recruitment drive comes under a special government scheme. A few years back, the government introduced SRO 412 of 2009 to help Kashmiri migrants get settled employment. Later in 2017, SRO 425 of 2017 was brought in to extend similar benefits to Kashmiri Pandits who did not migrate. This 2026 notification by JKSSB is a continuation of that promise. If your family had to leave the Kashmir Valley because of the situation back then, the government is now giving you a fair chance to serve in the same land. The process is straightforward — apply online before 8th September 2026.
Under this recruitment, the board will fill posts such as Sub-Inspector, Junior Librarian, Depot Assistant, Junior Statistical Assistant, Library Assistant, Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant, and Draftsman (Civil). All 72 posts fall under the divisional cadre and are permanent in nature. If you have been waiting for a government job opportunity that is specifically designed for the Kashmiri Pandit community, your wait is over. Read on to find all the details about these JKSSB 72 vacancies including eligibility, age limit, how to apply online and selection process.

After the written examination, shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. During this stage, you will need to produce all original documents including your educational certificates, domicile certificate, caste/category certificate (if applicable), and the Kashmiri migrant or Kashmiri Pandit certificate issued by the competent authority. If any information in the application form is found to be false or if a candidate fails to produce the required documents, their candidature will be cancelled immediately.

In case two or more candidates score equal marks, the tie will be resolved by considering the date of birth — the older candidate getting preference. The final selection list will be published on the official website jkssb.nic.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates regarding exam dates, admit cards, and results.
