Educational Qualification
- Candidate must be a citizen of India
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university
- Candidates awaiting results of qualifying examination may also apply subject to conditions in the notification

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through a three-stage process:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening)
- Two objective-type papers of 200 marks each – General Studies and Aptitude Test
- This is a qualifying/screening stage only; marks are not counted for final merit
Stage 2: Main Examination
- Includes compulsory papers (English, Hindi, Essay, General Studies I, II, III) and two papers of one optional subject
- Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each of the Hindi and English compulsory papers and 45% in the aggregate (excluding Hindi and English) to qualify
Stage 3: Personality Test (Interview)
- Candidates qualifying the Main Examination are called for a Personality Test to assess overall suitability
- Final merit is based on marks obtained in the Main Examination (written papers, excluding Hindi and English) and the Personality Test
