Scribe (Lahiya) Duties
- The scribe must sit at a distance from the candidate such that the candidate cannot easily touch him/her

- The scribe must read out questions as instructed by the candidate and carefully mark (encode) the answers exactly as the candidate directs
- The scribe must inform the candidate about time remaining, as instructed by the candidate
- The scribe must not mark any answer on his/her own judgment, must not lead or hint the candidate towards any answer, and must not discuss exam matters with the invigilator or others in the exam hall
- If the scribe engages in indiscipline or misconduct in the exam hall, the candidate who availed the scribe’s help will be held responsible
