• MM Court: At least 5 years of professional/court practice experience in various Courts/Tribunals

Other Requirements

• Office Requirement: Must have an office at the place where empanelment is sought
• Infrastructure: Accessible office, chambers, library, manpower, etc.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills required
• Experience Date: As on 1 July 2026
• Relaxation: Regional Director may relax experience or specify additional qualifications

Selection Stages

• Stage I: Submission of application in prescribed format (Annexure-II or III)
• Stage II: Shortlisting by ESIC based on eligibility and requirement
• Stage III: Interaction before Selection Committee (Regional Director + 2 external members)
• Stage IV: Final empanelment and publication on ESIC website

Key Terms

• Case Allocation: At sole discretion of authorized ESIC Officers
• No Delegation: Must handle cases personally, cannot delegate
• No ESIC Branding: Cannot use ESIC name/logo on letterhead or signboard
• Reporting: Must report on every hearing and furnish court orders
• No Adjournments: Unless ESIC deems necessary

Grounds for Cancellation

• Furnishing false information
• Failing to attend hearings without sufficient reason
• Acting against ESIC's instructions
• Leaking case information to opposing parties
• Frequent absence from proceedings
• Poor performance as assessed by ESIC

ESIC may terminate with one month's written notice. Advocate may apply for termination with three months' notice.
