Consolidated retainership fee: YP-1: Rs. 70,000/month, YP-2: Rs. 1,00,000/month, YP-3: Rs. 1,40,000/month. Annual increment of 4% to 10% based on performance. Additional benefits include company accommodation, mobile/broadband expenses, and medical facilities at Company hospital.
Q8. What is the tenure of engagement for SAIL Young Professionals?
The initial tenure is 3 years, extendable up to 2 additional years (maximum 5 years) based on satisfactory performance. The engagement is on a "Contract for Service" basis and does not create any right to regular employment. Performance is reviewed annually for extension.
Q9. Is there a written exam for SAIL Young Professionals 2026?
A Computer-Based Test (CBT) may be conducted if applications exceed five times the requirement for any engagement code. The CBT may cover Aptitude, General Management, or Psychometric topics. If the number of applicants is lower, all eligible candidates are called directly for interview with no written test.
Q10. Will travel expenses be reimbursed for the SAIL YP interview?
Yes, candidates called for interview will be reimbursed single to and fro AC-2 Tier Rail fare along with reservation and Tatkal booking charges (if any) by the shortest route, provided the distance is more than 30 km each way. Travel by higher class is reimbursed at entitled class rates only.
