About Syllabus of RGSSH Recruitment 2026
Since this is a direct interview recruitment without written examination, the "syllabus" revolves around demonstrating clinical mastery and teaching competence. Candidates should prepare for in-depth discussions on their specialty – whether Cardiology, Nephrology, or CTVS – including recent medical advances and complex case management. The interview panel will rigorously assess teaching experience, asking about methodologies used for postgraduate training. Research publications in indexed journals carry significant weight, so be ready to discuss your published work. Unlike competitive exams with fixed topics, this interview demands practical knowledge demonstration, so focus on clinical scenarios and academic contributions rather than theoretical textbook preparation.

Additional Information & Important Notes
Beyond the standard recruitment details, the RGSSH notification contains several crucial points that candidates must thoroughly understand before proceeding with their application. This analysis covers the hidden nuances, contractual implications, and critical compliance requirements that can make or break your candidature.
📌 Career Implications: Understanding the 5-Year Contractual Nature
Unlike permanent government teaching positions that offer pension benefits and job security, these faculty posts are purely contractual for an initial period of 05 years. This means no pension entitlements, no automatic regularization rights, and termination based on annual performance appraisal reports. However, for retired government employees (up to 66 years), this offers excellent re-employment opportunities with salary calculated as last basic pay minus pension plus DA. For年轻 doctors, this is a prestigious opportunity to gain experience in a 650-bedded super-speciality hospital with cutting-edge technology, which significantly enhances future career prospects in both government and private sectors. The contract may be extended based on satisfactory work conduct, but candidates should not stake claim for permanent absorption.
📌 Critical Certificate Requirements: Why OBC NCL and DNB Equivalency Matter Most
The notification contains two non-negotiable certificate requirements that frequently cause rejections. First, OBC candidates must produce Non-Creamy Layer certificates issued within six months by competent authorities of GOVT. of NCT of Delhi only – certificates from other states are strictly invalid. Second, DNB candidates must attach NBE-issued Equivalency certificates along with their application; without this, they won't be considered equivalent to MD/MS degree holders. Additionally, all category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS) must be issued on or before the last application date (April 10, 2026). The hospital emphasizes that these documents must be produced in original at interview, and any discrepancy leads to immediate disqualification without further communication.
📌 Operational Realities: Full-Time Commitment and Private Practice Prohibition
Selected faculty members must understand that these positions are strictly full-time with absolute prohibition on private practice of any kind. This is a standard requirement in government medical institutions to ensure undivided attention to patient care and teaching responsibilities. The job location is fixed at Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, Tahirpur, Delhi-110093, with no mention of transfer policies. Candidates should also note that the hospital reserves the right to change vacancy numbers or withdraw the process entirely without assigning reasons. In cases where reserved category seats remain unfilled, they'll be filled by unreserved candidates on ad-hoc basis for three months or until next regular recruitment – a pragmatic approach to ensure departmental functioning.
📌 Documentation Pro-Tips: Avoiding Common Rejection Traps
Based on years of recruitment experience, here are critical documentation nuances often missed by applicants: First, all educational qualifications and experience are counted only up to the last date of Google Form submission (April 10, 2026) – any experience gained after this date won't be considered. Second, retired government employees must bring pension documents and last pay slips clearly showing basic pay drawn for salary calculation. Third, candidates from government hospitals/PSUs must obtain "No Objection Certificate" and "Experience Certificate" from current employers before the interview – lack of NOC leads to disqualification. Fourth, all photocopies must be self-attested, and originals must be arranged in the same order as photocopies for smooth verification. Finally, police verification certificate must be submitted within one month of joining – start this process early as it can take weeks in some districts.
